OTTAWA — Today’s Winter Adventures include adventures in video-gaming. The virtual action begins at 10 with the WII bowling tournament at the Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Don Woodward Community Center, 517 E. 3rd St. Registration is required. Also at 10 at the Woodward Center, youngsters can make art with recycled objects. The virtual excitement begins at 1 with “Rock Band” and the “Battle of the Bands” at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 401 W. 13th St. Then there’s that perennial staple of every winter break party – the Easy Bake Oven Cook-off at 1 and 3 at Elliott Hall at First Baptist Church, 410 S. Hickory St., for those ages 5 and up. Easy Bake Ovens and ingredients will be available. Registration is required, to ensure there are enough ovens. The evening winds down with a skating night at The Rink from 6 to 9. There’s a $2 charge for skating.
