OTTAWA — The Ottawa Planning Commission will have a public hearing on Jan. 12 concerning changes to the city’s flood plain regulations. Assistant city planner Tom Yahl said the changes are a result of changes made by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on the patterns of flooding in and around Ottawa. The changes won’t be major and shouldn’t affect too many Ottawans, he said. The city has been notifying those affected about the ramifications, he said.
