LAWRENCE–The Children’s Health Insurance Program has increased its enrollment. The federal government has given the state of Kansas more than $2.6 million for increasing its enrollment of the program by 9 percent. The Children’s Health Insurance provides coverage for working families who cannot afford private health insurance. The program is funded jointly by the state and federal government.
