KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Four police officers in Kansas City, Kan., have been arrested in what Police Chief Rick Armstrong called an ongoing police corruption case. Some members of the department’s SWAT team have been suspended without pay while the investigation continues, Armstrong said. The investigation began last year after the department received a citizen complaint, he said. The arrests don’t reflect on the operation and values of the Kansas City Police Department, he said. The Kansas City Star reported that the officers were arrested Tuesday after a videotaped sting operation by the FBI that followed their work on serving what they thought was a warrant.
