LAWRENCE — ‘Parents & Colleges’ guide says Lawrence is one of America’s best college towns. The guide praises the city’s vibrant downtown, youthful attitude and art and music scene. Lawrence also gets high marks for its outdoor activities at Clinton Lake, the Kansas River and the city’s 50 parks. Lawrence also was included in lists of top college towns compiled by the American Institute for Economic Research and the MSN and MSNBC web sites.
