GARNETT–What a way to ring in the new year like a fire. A home located at 323 W. Seventh in Garnett caught fire on Saturday. The fire was reported around 9:45 Saturday morning. No one was home at the time. The house was owned by Jody and Beverly Kimzey and was rented by Brooke Norman and Beth Leistra. Fire units from Greeley, Harris, and Welda assisted Garnett firemen. The cause is under investigation.
