OTTAWA — An Ottawa business will be honored as one of the top small businesses in the state. The Kansas Small Business Development Center has named Shawn Markley’s Audio-Video Concepts, 1610 S. Main St., as one 15 emerging small businesses of the year for 2010. Markley used a small business loan from the center to allow him to move to the new building and expand his electronic merchandise. Markley said his business found a niche and prospered in Ottawa. He said he would like to become more involved in community affairs. Markley and the other business owners will be honored in Topeka March 15.
