OSAWATOMIE — Four Osawatomie City Council spots and the mayor’s position are up for election this year. Those council seats open are held by Ted Hunter in Ward 1, Mike Moon in Ward 2, Jeff Walmann in Ward 3 and Larry Ratley in Ward 4. Phil Dudley is mayor. Four seats on the Osawatomie school board are also open this year. Those are Pos. 1, held by Tammy Booe; Pos. 2 held by D.J. Needham, Pos. 3 by Stanton Adams, and the at-large Pos. 7 held by Richard Fisher. The deadline to file is noon Jan. 25. File for the city positions, go to the Osawatomie city clerk’s office. To run for the school board, go to the Miami County clerk’s office in Paola.
