KANSAS CITY — A former Lawrence business owner will get more than eight years in federal prison for selling stolen merchandise on E-bay. Carrie Neighbors owned and operated the Yellow House Quality Appliances in Lawrence. In September, a federal jury convicted Neighbors of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, mail fraud and money laundering; 12 counts of wire fraud; and three counts of money laundering. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said that for more than two years, Neighbors took part in a conspiracy to buy stolen items and sell them on E-bay.
