LAWRENCE — Former Kansas University assistant athletic director Rodney Dale Jones has pleaded guilty to conspiring to steal KU sport tickets. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Jones pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Jones admitted that he and other athletic department employees received more than $2 million by skimming KU tickets and selling them to third parties, Grissom said. His sentencing is March 31. Three co-defendants face trial. Another three are awaiting sentencing.
