BALDWIN CITY — Baker University is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the conviction of whoever fired several shots into a door at Irwin Hall at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Douglas County Crime Stoppers may also offer a reward, Baldwin City Police Chief Greg Neis said. No one was injured by the flurry of shots. Witnesses describe the suspect as a short, white man wearing a dark-colored bomber-style jacket running northwest from the dorm, Neis said. The man jumped into a dark-colored car resembling a Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, he said. The car went west towards 9th Street in Baldwin City.
