OTTAWA — Neosho County Community College vice president Ben Smith said much of the exterior of the new Ottawa building is complete and contractors are working on the interior. Most of the furniture is scheduled to be moved in beginning March 1, he said. The college plans to begin classes at the new facility after spring break. The grand opening for the facility is scheduled for May 5. Work on improving K-68 in front of the campus is scheduled for the summer, he said. Franklin County will buy the old campus at Second and Beech. That will become the site of a new juvenile detention center.
