TOPEKA — Kansas will celebrate it’s 150th birthday Saturday. But what if no one has a party and no one shows up? Kansas Information Network’s Jeff Zehnder said not much of anything happens. Because of the state’s budget woes, the state has done little to prepare for Saturday’s anniversary other than a small celebration, and has no money or organization done little to promote the 150th this year, he reports. What events that have been scheduled may be found on the state’s Web site at www.kansas.gov.
