BURLINGTON — The Community Blood Center received 57 usable units of blood during a drive at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington Friday. Both the center and the hospital are grateful for those donors who waited because of the long line. However, the Community Blood Center notes that because of the series of winter storms that have cancelled several drives, blood supplies are dangerously low, and they ask donors to go to regional collection centers.
