KANSAS CITY — A special delivery from Kansas will get a 50-year-old San Diego delivered to federal prison. Neal Limtiaco has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for drug trafficking. Limtiaco pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. Limtiaco admitted that he was a member of pot plot that lasted about three years. Grissom said that during a routine inspection of mail parcels by the Postal Inspection Service, a dog picked out a package mailed from Mark McPherson, one of Limtiaco’s confederates in Oathe to another co-defendant in San Diego, Grissom said. The package contained $30,000 in cash. Grissom said when investigators raided the man’s home in San Diego they seized marijuana plants. Limtiaco took over as the supplier after the raid.
