OLATHE — The Johnson County Sheriff’s office said one of its deputies accidentally Tasered a three-year-old child Monday. The sheriff’s office said deputies were trying to serve a child removal order in Olathe when the father grabbed his three-year-old child to use as a shield. He ran out of the house with the child. While he was trying to escape, the deputy used the Taser and accidentally hit the child. While deputies struggled with the man, deputies Tasered him. The child was treated for minor injuries and given to the mother. Jason Troxel of Olathe was booked in the Johnson County jail for contempt of court, obstruction of justice and suspicion of endangering a child and eluding.
