OSAGE CITY — The Osage City mayor and city council have issued a proclamation honoring Osage City police officer Nathan Purling for saving the life of a woman. The Osage County Herald-Chronicle reported while on patrol Dec. 18, Purling found the woman inside her car after she tried to commit suicide. Purling gained entry to her car and saved her. He also received a medal from the police department. He is a part-time officer for the city and works full-time for the Osage County Sheriff’s office.
