PAOLA — The Paola school board has scheduled a public hearing on March 14 concerning a proposal to close Hillsdale Elementary School. The hearing will be a part of the regular school board meeting. If you wish to speak at the hearing, you should contact the district office by today. Supt. Rod Allen said the district is looking at about $1.2 million in more cuts over the next couple of years. Closing Hillsdale e could save about $500,000, he said.
