OTTAWA — A jury trial for an Ottawa man charged in the stabbing death of another Ottawa man has been set for April 6 in Franklin County District Court. Forty-four-year-old John Balbirnie is one of two men who have been charged with the death of Paul Nicholson July 28. Brandon Ellsmore, 23, Ottawa, has also been charged in Nicholson’s death.
