OTTAWA — Ottawa city commissioners received an update Tuesday on a grant program that helped rehabilitate vacant and foreclosed houses in Ottawa. ECKAN and the city received $730,000 for the program, in which ECKAN bought the houses, renovate them and sold them.. City manager Richard Nienstedt said it’s been a good program for the community and families. The program has been completed. It’s unknown whether there will be any more grant money, he said.
