OTTAWA — Garnett Mayor Mike Norman is the speaker for Wednesday morning’s Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. The breakfast begins at 7:30 at Faith Lutheran Church. Norman is a long-time Garnett city commissioner who was paralyzed from the waist down following a racing kart crash during a race on the Lake Garnett course. Since his injury, he’s remained active on the commission and community activities and has been at the forefront of Garnett’s efforts to make itself more accessible to people in wheelchairs.
