OSAGE CITY — The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to close U.S. 56 in Osage County west of the U.S. 75 junction beginning Monday morning at 9. KDOT said it will replace the box culvert under U.S. 56 highway at Hundred Ten Mile Creek. Traffic will be detoured along U.S. 56 through Burlingame and Osage City via K-31. The project should be completed by the middle of June, KDOT said. Bryan-Ohlmeier Construction Company of Paola is the primary contractor for the $214,000 project.
