WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has nominated former Kansas Attorney General Steve Six to the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Six would fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Deanell Reece Tacha. A Democrat, Six has served as an attorney and state district court judge before he was appointed to the attorney general’s office by then-Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. He was unseated by Republican state senator Derek Schmidt.
