OTTAWA — An off-shoot of Sutherland’s Lumber Company may soon locate in Ottawa. The Ottawa Planning Commission approved a new site plan for the company at 2200 Princeton Circle Drive. Ottawa architect Kyle Trendel said he has been doing design work for McLiney Lumber and Supply’s new Ottawa site, which would be between the Goodwill Thrift Store and Country Mart. Trendel said the owners are members of the Sutherland family but have their own chain of retail lumber and hardware stores. The company’s Web site says the McLineys are third and fourth-generations of the Sutherland family and also operate Sutherland’s stores in addition to stores under their own name.
