OTTAWA — Today’s Spring Fling events begins with an open gym period at the Don Woodward Center beginning at 8 and going until 1. The Ottawa University softball team will have a clinic for boys and girls at the Mabee Center. Kids from kindergarten to second grade from 9 to 10. Grades 3 to 5 is 10 to 11. Grades 6 to 8 is 11 to noon. The Suzuki Strings will present “Picking and Smiling with Fiddles and Violins” at the First United Methodist Church from 10 to 11. Today’s free lunch of beefy tomato mac will be 11 to 1 at the church. Each family will receive one free Take Charge Challenge light bulb. Bingo at the Ottawa Library will 1-2:30. Fifty participants will take part at one time and some children may have to wait for next round. Ceramics classes begin at 1 at the Carnegie Culture Center. However, registration is required. Dodge ball will be at the Woodward Center – 1-2 p.m., grades 1-3; 2-3, grades 4-6; 3-4, grades 7-12. Open gym will be 4-5 at the Woodward Center. A cheer-dance clinic will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the OU Mabee Center for grades K-8. Skating will be 6-9 p.m. at The Rink for ages 11 and up. Admission for skating is $1.
