OSAWATOMIE — It’s the grass-burning season and it’s proved to be a hot time for Osawatomie firefighters. Firefighters from the Osawatomie and Fontana stations battled six fires in southwestern Miami County over the weekend. The department said a seventh grass fire occurring Friday near Pressonville was ignited by sparking power lines.
