OSAWATOMIE — John Brown by any other name is still John Brown. The Osawatomie Journal reported that the name of the John Brown Jamboree could change. City council member Karen LaDuex said the city tourism committee has discussed changing the name to the John Brown Freedom Festival to more accurately reflect the nature of the event.
