OTTAWA — The final work on Ransom Memorial Hospital’s new surgery suite is nearly done and work is on track for the new intensive care unit, which should be done in May. The latest on the $9 million renovation and expansion project will move to “the core area” of the work on the patient wings — nurses center, administrative center and doctors’ area, said hospital CEO Larry Felix. There’s no timetable for the core area. But when those projects are done, work will start on the final phase of the hospital renovation project, which is the patient rooms, he said. The patient rooms will be updated and converted into single-patient rooms.
