OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie Middle School students heard from a man who was a bully and was bullied himself. The Osawatomie Journal reported that Rainbow Mental Health Clinic director of safety Kermit Robinson talked recently about how his classmates picked on him because his family was poor. He told the students that in turn, he bullied his brothers and sisters. He was bullied until high school when he went out for football and lifted weights and got bigger and stronger. He told the youngsters that bullies often end up being bullied themselves or end up working for the people they bullied. Other students shouldn’t encourage bullies by laughing at the people they’re tormenting, he said.
