OTTAWA — Electrical power was briefly knocked out for much of the city and surrounding area this morning.  A Kansas City Power & Light power line at Eisenhower Road and K-68 broke and fell across three other “hot” lines, causing the outage and cutting power to the city’s electrical grid, which buys power from KCP&L, said Jim Bradley, Ottawa city utilities director.  At one point, about 600 KCP&L customers were without power, the company’s Web site said.  Bradley said most of the outage inside the city occurred north of Seventh Street.  When the outage occurred, the city started its own generators, he said.
