OTTAWA — Neosho County Community College moved into its new campus on K-68 this week. And Franklin County will move in into the old campus on Second and Beech this week. County administrator Lisa Johnson told county commissioners this morning that the county will sign the papers buying the site on Friday. Johnson said she’ll take a check to the closing. The county’s insurance carrier has been contacted and will cover the building and the county will buy a builder’s risk policy for Loyd Builders, according to the contract, she said. The county will proceed with the bond rating process in preparating to issue the bonds for a new juvenile detention center to be built at the old college campus, she said.
