OTTAWA — Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County will have two events for prospective families this week. An informational meeting for partner families will be Thursday night at 6:30 at Ottawa City Hall. The meeting will discuss the program and give details. An open house for partner families and the public will be Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 at a new Habitat house at 727 S. Sycamore St., in Ottawa. Owner Joni Scribner will be available to talk about Habitat and answer questions. Habitat is designed to help families who are living in inadequate housing and don’t have the financial resources to buy a home without some help, who are willing to work hard to build their own home and who have lived in Franklin County for at least six months are eligible.
