TUESDAY — The spring election is next Tuesday. Franklin County Clerk Shari Perry said many advanced voters are finding a surprise on their ballots – candidates for the Frontier Extension Council. Because Frontier Extension Council is a result of last year’s merger of the Franklin and Osage County Extensioin offices, the combined council is an independent taxing entity with elected officers. They are elected during the spring elections, the same time as city and school board positions. In Franklin County, Aaron Drake of Princeton and Linda Thurston of Princeton are running for the two open seats.
