OTTAWA — The former U.S. ambassador to Thailand will speak at Ottawa University this morning. David Lambertson will speak on “East Asia Rising: What it Means for the United States.” Lambertson, the keynote speaker for the annual Hostetter-DeFries Cultural Event at Ottawa University, said China becoming a global economic power should be viewed as a good thing. Much of the concern is about China’s drive to become more capitalist than Communist and that’s preferable to an isolated, scary China, he said. He will speak at 11 at the Ottawa University Chapel. The event is free and the public is invited.
