LAWRENCE — President Obama’s ad man, Jim Margolis, will speak in a forum at Kansas University’s Dole Institute of Politics tonight at 7:30. The program is free and open to the public. Dole Institute director Bill Lacy said Margolis was at the forefront of a new revolution of political campaign advertising that helped elect Obama. He also helped guide Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democratic California senator Barbara Boxer and Oregon Democratic senator Ron Wyden to re-election last year. Margolis’ company GMMB served as the lead agency for Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign in 1992. He will visit KU classes on Thursday.
