TOPEKA — The National Weather Service office of Topeka said the eastern part of the state and especially the KOFO listening area could get hammered by two lines of powerful storms this afternoon and tonight. Forecaster Chad Omitt said those storm systems, especially the second one could include supercell storms that may bring tornadoes, baseball-sized hail and winds of 70 miles an hour to the area. The first storm could hit mid to late afternoon, he said. The second could hit this evening or night.
