FREDONIA — Chris Taylor, the man who skipped sentencing after making a plea bargain in a sex case involving an Ottawa teenager, remains at large. Wilson County Attorney Jill Chard said Taylor could be in either in Kansas or in Tennessee, where he has family. Taylor, a former Allegiance Communications employee, pleaded guilty to picking up the Ottawa teenager and driving her to a place near Fredonia for sex. He left her in Wilson county but his truck was disabled by satellite command in rural Anderson County near Greeley by Allegiance. That set off a three-day manhunt involving Anderson and Franklin county officers around Greeley and Garnett. He was caught trying to get into an Allegiance tower facility near Garnett. He skipped his sentencing about a month ago.
