TOPEKA — A Scott County commissioner and his family was killed Friday in a small plane crash northeast of Topeka in a muddy field in Jefferson County. Associated Press reported that Dylan Spencer, 35, Scott City, and his wife and family were flying to Holton to celebrate Easter with his wife’s family. Also killed his wife Amy, 34, and daughters, Chase, 7, and Ansley, 5. Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig saID a witness reported that the plane’s motor sputtered and died before the crash.
