OTTAWA — State authorities will allow Ottawa Babe Ruth League to expand its Cal Ripken division. The expansion is in effec just for this summer for baseball players ages 9-12, Ricky Roth, Ottawa Babe Ruth president, said. Players who live in the Ottawa, West Franklin and Wellsville schools districts will be eligible to participate this summer, he said. Registration is open through the end of business Monday. Sign up at the Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Don Woodward Community Center or by visiting the ORC’s Web site at www.orcottawaks.org.
