OTTAWA — Registration for the Safe Feturn program for adults with Alzheimers and other dementias is today from 11 to 1. As part of the program, registered adults receive an ID bracelet that helps them be returned home if they wander away, said East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging’s Phyllis Tillinghast. Because funding for the program is limited, free registration is open to those 60 or more and must be living in the communities. Those registering should bring recent photos of the people being registered, wrist size and a list of medications and identifying features. Registration locations are at Ottawa — East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging office; Garnett – Anderson County Hospital; Burlington – Coffey County Hospital; Paola Senior Center; Osage City Senior Center; Mound City, F & M Community Center.
