GARNETT — Fundraisers for a Richmond family involved in last week’s deadly fire have raised nearly $13,000. A fundraiser Thursday at Garnett Pizza Hut for the Bryce and Ashley Schendel family raised $6,500. A raffle by Bryce Schendel’s employer, Kids Creation of Garnett, for a wooden swing raised at least $6,300. The fire killed Bryce Schendel and three children in the family. Ashley Schendel and another child survived.
Funeral services for Bryce Schendel, Jace Best, Ayden Best and Zoey Schendel were this morning at Ottawa University Chapel.
