Ottawa police said when firefighters were called to help a Franklin County EMS crew with a medical call in the 100 block of West Third early this morning, a 27-year-old man spit on one of the firefighters. Ottawa police said they booked William Fortin, Ottawa, of battery in connection with the incident.
