WICHITA — The federal child pornography trial of an Anderson County man will be delayed until next month. The trial for Gary West of Colony was originally set for May 17 in Wichita until a federal judge approved a motion by the defense for the delay, resetting the trial for June 2. The Anderson County Review reported that West was indicted by a federal grand jury in February which said that two years ago, he distributed visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct over the Internet and that he transmitted pictures of his genitals via web-cam to someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl. Instead, the person was a California detective involved in a child porn sting operation.
