OTTAWA — The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation will host an open house at the ECKAN central office, 1320 S. Ash, Ottawa; Thursday from 11 to 1, and at ECKAN Ottawa Head Start, Second and Cedar, from 3 to 5. ECKAN CEO Richard Jackson said the open house is being held in conjunction with National Community Action Month. He says it’s designed to highlight the anti-poverty work of community action agencies across the country. Visitors can also learn about ECKAN services and history. The public is invited.
