HARRIS — A 74-year-old Burlington woman was taken to the Anderson County Hospital, Garnett, after a one-vehicle accident near Harris Wednesday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Mary Hess was driving east on K-31 when her van went off the south side of the road and hit two highway signs. Her van then slid across the top of the bridge edge and spun around and ended up in the ditch.
