BASEHOR — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has lifted its health advisory for Hog Creek in Leavenworth County near Basehor. The KDHE said tests showed Wednesday that the amount of the dangerous e-coli bacteria in the creek has fallen to acceptable levels. A health warning was issued for the creek three weeks ago. The agency said it’s still trying to pin down the cause of the e-coli in the creek but will work to improve soil and farming practices along the creek.
