OTTAWA–People attending the Ottawa University Commencement exercises will learn about Pakistan. The featured speaker is former OU President Peter Armacost, and he will talk about lessons learned when he went to Pakistan to reopen a Presbyterian-linked college that had been taken over and essentially destroyed by the Pakistani government. Armacost also says the country is at a crossroads…whether to go with a secular society that respects the people’s human rights…or go with repression by adopting a Taliban-like society.
