BURLINGTON — Coffey County officials have been searching woods for an Iowa woman missing since last week, after a man she had been dating killed himself in Coffey County. Dawn Allen, 50, Carroll, Iowa, has been missing since May 4. After she disappeared, Associated Press reported investigators traced the man she had been dating, James Snovelle, 54, Coffey County. When CoffeyCcounty officers tried to question Snovelle Monday afternoon, he tried to outrun them in his car, which became stuck. He fled on foot. When officers began closing in on him, Snoville shot and killed himself. Authorities are now searching that area for Allen.
