A wreck at the intersection of highways 56 and 59 sent one person to the hospital. Yesterday at approximately 10:40 a.m. Austin Ray of Olathe was traveling west on 56 highway, ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Julie Hicks of Vassar. Chad Hicks, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital following the accident. He was wearing a seatbelt. There were no other injuries in the accident.
