HILLSDALE LAKE — A 45-year-old LaCygne woman was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center as a result of a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 69 near Hillsdale Lake Sunday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Bryce Deason, 15, LaCygne, was driving north on U.S. 69 in the righ-thand lane when he tried to switch lanes to allow a vehicle to merge from 247th Street. He sideswiped a vehicle driven by Jianpeng Su, 18, Lawrence, in the left-hand lane, troopers said. Deason’s car went through the center median and came to rest on the right shoulder of southbound lanes. A passenger in Deason’s car, Joyce Deaso, was injured. Another passenger in his car wasn’t. Su and four other passengers in his car weren’t injured.
